F.A.S.T. Warning Signs
Use the F.A.S.T. test to recognize a stroke quickly:
- Face Drooping – One side of the face may droop or feel numb.
 - Arm Weakness – One arm may feel weak or numb.
 - Speech Difficulty – Slurred speech or difficulty speaking.
 - Time to call 911 – If any of these symptoms appear, seek immediate help.
 
Other Stroke Symptoms
- Sudden confusion or trouble understanding
 - Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
 - Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, or loss of balance
 - Sudden severe headache with no known cause
 
Preventing Stroke
- Maintain healthy blood pressure and cholesterol levels
 - Eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly
 - Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption
 - Manage diabetes and heart disease effectively
